ROLE 1
Policy & Legal Correspondent
Monitor legislation, regulations, agency actions, task forces, ballot measures, hearings, official reports, public records, and other authoritative source materials for the assigned jurisdiction.
Primary focus: documents, law, regulation, policy, and official proceedings.
ROLE 2
Community & Events Correspondent
Attend appropriate psychedelic meetings, conferences, seminars, educational events, public forums, and community or social gatherings; submit event information and factual field notes; and help introduce PER to local communities.
Primary focus: community presence, events, outreach, and factual local reporting.
IMPORTANT BOUNDARIES
Correspondents document and represent the Registry within defined limits.
Unless specifically authorized, volunteers may not lobby or endorse legislation on behalf of PER, make political contributions in PER's name, provide legal or medical advice, claim an official PER policy position, or speak as an authorized spokesperson beyond their assigned role. Submitted materials are reviewed before publication.
SCREENING & PUBLIC-FACING ROLE
Applicants must provide professional and public-facing references.
Because approved correspondents may be publicly associated with PER, applicants must provide a LinkedIn profile, a Facebook profile, and a short introduction video link. These materials are used for volunteer screening and role suitability, not for participant research.
LinkedIn
Provide a current LinkedIn profile so PER can review professional, academic, community, or organizational background.
Facebook
Provide a Facebook profile link that PER can review as part of identity and public-facing suitability screening.
Resume / CV
Upload a current resume or CV (PDF, DOC, or DOCX; maximum 5 MB) for review of relevant professional, academic, research, policy, or community experience.
2–3 minute introduction video
Introduce yourself, explain your interest in PER, describe your connection to the jurisdiction, and explain how you would represent a neutral research and educational project.
Interview & orientation
Application review may be followed by an interview, orientation, conflict-of-interest review, and final role assignment.
